Carli Met Santa!

Carli had a blast meeting Santa recently.  She couldn't believe it was really him.  She has never sat on Santa's lap except her first birthday when she didn't really understand what was going on.  When she saw Santa this year, she ran up to him and jumped into his lap.  As we were leaving, she whispered, "Mommy, he was the REAL Santa."

Happy 50th Day of School

Today was the 50th day of school.  Kindergarten celebrated with a sock hop and special snack.  Students were also invited to dress as they would have in the 50s.

All decked out in her poodle skirt.

Happy Halloween, Ya'll

Last weekend, the whole family got into the pumpkin carving spirit.  For the first time ever, Carli actually put her hand into the pumpkin and pulled out the guts.

This year for Halloween, Carli wanted to be a cowgirl.  Easy enough...

Off to the Fair!

Carli's first field trip as a kindergartner was to the fair.  Mommy took the day off and was a chaperon on the trip.

Sparky the Fire Dog

The pig races were a huge hit!

She loves her teacher!

Mommy and Me

We went inside and watched a sheep dog herd sheep and ducks.  It was pretty cool to watch!

Checking out what the blacksmith made

We saw a lady with a goat.  She let us pet it and walk it around the pen.

In the petting zoo, we saw many animals, including Carli's favorite, the zebra.  We could only look at her and not touch.  (They bite!)  Mommy fed a yak and came back with a hand full of slobber.  Carli talked to many animals, but would not touch or feed any of them.

After the field trip part was over, we stayed with a few of Carli's friends and rode some rides.

Glimpse into Kindergarten

One of my favorite things about Lana teaching Carli is that I get random pictures of her during the day.

She got to ride the bus home one day and was in heaven!
