Easter 2014

What an Easter holiday!

Palm Sunday, Carli helped to bring in the palms during the morning service. Then that afternoon we went to the Easter Egg Hunt at church.  Carli was pretty excited and loved playing the games, even though she wasn't really good at any of them.  But then, how can you be good bowling with a giant egg!?  (Sorry some of these pictures are sideways.  I tried and tried to get them right side up, but it wouldn't work with me. )

Carli didn't have many eggs because she refused to pick any that were not pink.

her happy place...
The Saturday before Easter, Carli woke up early, sick!  She spent the morning with Grandma and PawPaw because she told us she felt better.  (I think she just didn't want to miss the morning with them!)  But then she got sick again on the way home.  We were worried Carli wouldn't even be able to enjoy Easter.  But then Sunday morning came and she was feeling so much better!
lots of new play jewelry

That evening, we decided to dye eggs with her since she didn't feel like doing it on Saturday.  Carli didn't like the process.  She dyed one of them and Joe and I had to finish.  She was bored!  She did enjoy putting the Hello Kitty stickers on the eggs.

A "New" Bike

A few months ago one of Mommy's co-workers sent a picture over of a bike her daughter had outgrown.  She wanted to know if we would be interested in it.  As soon as we saw that it was Hello Kitty, we knew it had to be Carli's.  Since the trike-a-thon was coming up and it was FINALLY getting warmer outside, it was time for the bike to come to our house.

At first Carli just sat on the bike and couldn't get it.  She just wanted Joe to push her.  He quickly told her that he would go behind her and help, but she had to pedal.  After lots of work, she finally got the hang of it.

so frustrated because she just couldn't get it

on my own!

Watch her go!
